I miss working in the Trammel Crow building in Downtown.
I miss living and working downtown. Dallas was a great city to be a part of.
I miss West Wing. I miss smart writing. I miss being able to talk about politics whether I agreed with you or not.

This new class of micro-entrepreneurs is doing the same thing MBAs have been shouting about in boardrooms for years — diversifying their revenue streams.

I’ve been shouting about this very subject, myself! Diversify your income!

One thing we really need to make micro-entrepreneurs have a better chance at success: affordable and accessible health care. You can run a fantastic business(es), but if you get sick or have an accident you need a way to survive.

So we’re getting really good at drawing images of the brain’s elaborate connectome. Now if only we can start drawing more realistic conclusions about how it all relates to our biology and eventually our personalities. This is an incredibly cool technique that is simplifying our view of brain structure, while at the same time complicating our view of brain biology.
This is some fascinating technology — it’s awesome in that it helps us understand ourselves while producing what many would consider to be art.
Nerds rule! High school Battlestar Galactica fans design a Viper flight-sim
Four high school students and an eighth-grader are working on a Battlestar Galactica-themed flight simulator for submission in the 2012 Maker Faire. Sam DeRose, Joseph DeRose, John Boyer, Alex Jacobson, and Sam Frank say their Viper replica is just the latest in a series of increasingly elaborate submissions to the Faire, all of which can be seen on The Viper Project”s official website. They’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign to help cover some of the projects’ costs, though they’re also fortunate enough to have a few corporate sponsors, and the boys have just over fifty days to pull it off. source
I would have LOVED to work on a project like this while in high school (or younger!).
